GEMS Staff is comprised of the PI, Director, UIW undergraduate students, and volunteers. Together, we work to create opportunities for the next generation of female students to explore their intellectual curiosity through STEM.

Stephanie Weiss-Lopez
Stephanie Weiss-Lopez is the Community Educator in the Office of Mission and Ministry at the University of the Incarnate Word and has served as the Director of GEMS since 2020. A first-generation college student and UIW alumna with a degree in Meteorology, she focuses on enhancing community engagement for the next generation in STEM fields.
